UNKNOWN FREQUENCIES
The series Unknown Frequencies explores vibrations, overlays, and condensations within a system that cannot be fully deciphered. Recurring fields of lines move through the pictorial space like resonances, seismographic recordings, or traces of hidden movements. They evoke geological formations, tectonic shifts, frequency patterns, or signals whose origin remains unknown.
The works emerge through multilayered painterly processes. Overlays, accumulations, gestural interventions, and erasures create surfaces that appear both material and almost immaterial. Forms emerge, are covered again, dissolve at the edges, or disappear into dark zones. This creates a tension between legibility and withdrawal, structure and openness, presence and dissolution.
The black areas are more than mere backgrounds. They give the works weight and gravity, while simultaneously appearing as voids, shadow spaces, or zones of unknown depth. The linear structures emerge from them like echoes of an invisible process. At times they recall sediments or exposed layers of rock; at others, digital disruptions or fragmented memory fields.
The images appear archaic and contemporary at the same time. They open a space between associations with nature and abstract structure, between memory and imagination. Unknown Frequencies opens a pictorial space in which hidden vibrations, geological depth, and painterly memory overlap.
